About Preshoot

Updated 2026-08-15 · Risk-term list version 2026-08-15c

Preshoot — a creative decision tool for cross-border shapewear and functional-intimates sellers: paste a product link, get a plan you can hand straight to a creator or a production partner. We do not make the video.

The name is Preshoot (拍前 in Chinese). The bare preshoot.com was already taken, so the site lives at getpreshoot.com — Preshoot is the brand, the domain is just an address. The operating entity is not settled, which is why the "who builds it" section below names no company, and why we have not opened a support address nobody is responsible for answering.

Almost every page here is a rendering of the knowledge base: one dataset serves both the product and the site, so a change lands in both. The angles, term lists and specs you read here are the ones the product runs on.

What it does

Paste a shapewear product link and get a creative plan: three scored and explained ad angles, a Chinese and an English script plus storyboard for each, a creator-ready brief, an A/B matrix with kill and scale criteria, a ROAS review sheet, and a list of phrasings flagged as high risk for the US market.

What it does not do

Not thisWhyWhat we say
No video generation, and no promised dateThe generation layer is being commoditised and is not a moat; vendor commercial terms carry real obstaclesHand it to your creator, your partner, or any generation tool. We make sure what they get is right.
No compliance certification, no substitute for counsel, no standing in for platform reviewLiability. If we say "no match" and you still get rejected, the only defensible position is that we never said "approved"These are risk flags and items to check — the first filter, not the last
No promises about winners or ROASCreative is one variable among manyWhat we give you is what to test and how to decide to kill or scale
No campaign launching, no access to your ad accountIt needs a company entity and platform review, and that lane is crowdedExport and use it; account integration would only ever be read-only
No agency work, no creator management, no editingWe are a tool, not a serviceWe are the tool in the hands of your ops person, your creator or your agency
No general-purpose categoriesNarrow and deep is the only shape a small team wins inOutside shapewear there is only a generic profile, and we label it as such
No machine-translated language sprawlMachine translation without a native reviewer damages the brandChinese and English now; a third language waits for a native media buyer to review it
No product sourcing, no competitor scrapingThat is a data pipeline problemWe start from your product link
No collecting or compiling real sellers’ contact detailsA rule we set on day oneEvery sample product is fictional

Coverage

CategoryShapewear and functional intimates (the beachhead, built out, one page per term). Beauty is the second category — the list exists and is wired into the product, but it is not lawyer-reviewed and its regulatory sources could not be verified in this pass, so the site carries only a status page. Tech and pet have a generic profile only.
MarketUnited States, referencing US platform policy and common provisions of Chinese advertising law
LanguagesChinese and English. A third waits for a native reviewer.
Flagged-term list23 Chinese and 22 English terms, version 2026-08-15c, downloadable under CC BY 4.0
Angle librarySix cross-category skeletons, with shapewear-specific priors and hooks
Platform specsFive placements (TikTok, Meta, Amazon, Temu, Shorts), each field marked verified or experience-based
LegalThe terms of service are a draft and have not been reviewed by a lawyer

Who builds it

Byline: Preshoot editorial. The operating entity is not settled yet, so no contact address is published. Until the operating entity is settled this page cannot name a company or an address — inventing one would be worse than leaving it blank.

Method and sources: the method page. Term list history: the changelog. Draft terms: terms.

FAQ

Why getpreshoot.com and not preshoot.com?

Because preshoot.com is already registered — parked with a domain broker, i.e. for sale at a negotiated price. Preshoot is the brand; the domain is just an address, and a get- prefix is standard SaaS practice. Trading a better name for a better domain would be the wrong way round.

Why no company name or contact details?

The name and domain are settled; the operating entity is not. Inventing one would be worse than leaving it blank — and likewise we have not opened a support address nobody is responsible for answering. Both arrive together when the entity does.

How is this site built?

A plain static generator that reads the knowledge base and renders pages. Zero external resources — no third-party scripts, styles, fonts or images — and the same knowledge base builds a byte-identical site twice.

Do you collect my data?

The site sets no cookies, loads no third-party scripts, and carries no analytics. The free checker runs entirely in your browser and uploads nothing. See section 3 of the terms.
