Arcads AI review and alternative, side by side

Updated 2026-08-15 · Risk-term list version 2026-08-15c

This Arcads AI review is built from public sources only — we have not run Arcads ourselves, and we say so rather than implying a test we did not do. The one thing it can give you that a roundup does not: Arcads publishes no pricing page at all — arcads.ai/pricing returns a 404 — so every number you have seen quoted, including the ~$110 and ~$220 tiers and the ~$11-a-clip figure below, is third-party consensus from mid-2026, marked with a ~ and dated rather than passed off as theirs. Their third tier has no public number at all, and this page leaves it blank instead of guessing.

We do the decision work that comes before the render: which angle to lead with, what the Chinese and English scripts each say, which phrasings are high risk in the US market, and how to brief a creator. The output is a document, not a clip.

They work together, and that is the normal workflow: take our script into Arcads. Below: the factual comparison and when you should pick them over us.

Provenance: They publish no pricing page; these are third-party review consensus figures from mid-2026 (marked ~); features from public product pages and public reviews, compiled 2026-08-08. Pricing moves — check their site before you quote it.

Arcads pricing, and why no number here is theirs

Roughly $110 a month for 10 videos and $220 for 20 — about $11 a clip. The third tier is listed as "Custom (contact sales)"; no public figure exists for it and we are not inventing one. The same review states there is no free plan and no free trial, and that pricing only appears once you have created an account.

Where an Arcads alternative actually fits

Arcads' input is our output. It asks for “your own script”, which is the same as handing over the question of where the script comes from. Ours pastes straight in.

When to pick them and not us

If you already have someone who writes good scripts and only lack a face on camera, Arcads has the best actors in this tier and $11 a clip is not expensive. What you are missing is not us.

That section is sincere. We are not building the tool that does everything, and keeping the wrong user helps nobody.

FAQ

Why do you not render video?

Two reasons. Legal: commercial terms from video vendors carry real obstacles — some pre-GA terms bar commercial use outright, some paid commercial licences force brand marks and keep a broad licence over your content. We are not touching that until it is verified. Strategic: the generation layer is being commoditised by aggregators; it is not a moat.

Are the price figures accurate?

To the provenance stated above: pricing-page figures are pricing-page figures, third-party consensus is marked with a ~. Compiled 2026-08-08. Pricing moves — check their site before you quote it.

Will you badmouth competitors?

No, and there is no need. Each of them is better than us at the part they do. There is exactly one difference worth stating: none of them does the decision work before the render.

Is paying for both a waste?

Depends what you are missing. If you already know what to shoot and what to say and only lack footage, use them directly. If every new SKU restarts the question of which angle to lead with and whether the English line is safe, what you save is not the subscription — it is a wasted round of shooting.
